Your site address, and using your own domain

Every Nupta site has an address of the form:

yournames.nupta.site

You choose the first part during setup, and you can change it while the site is a draft.

It does not work until you publish

This is the one thing worth being careful about. While your site is a draft, the address exists in your editor but serves nothing to a visitor. Couples have copied it out and sent it to family before publishing, and the family saw an error.

The editor labels the address "Not live yet" for exactly this reason. Once you publish, the link starts working immediately and never changes.

Choosing a good one

• Keep it short. It gets typed on phones and read aloud.
• Both first names is the usual pattern, and the one guests guess correctly.
• Avoid the year and the date. If anything moves, the address stops matching.
• It is case-insensitive and cannot contain spaces.

Using your own domain

On Premium you can point a domain you own — mariaandjuan.com, say — at your Nupta site. You buy the domain from a registrar; Nupta does not sell them.

Once connected, your nupta.site address keeps working as well, so a link you already sent to someone does not break.

If you are choosing between them: a custom domain looks better printed on an invitation, and that is genuinely the main benefit. Guests arriving from a group chat tap a link and never read it.

Do not print the address before you publish

An invitation is expensive to reprint. Publish first, open the link on a phone that is not yours, confirm it loads, and only then send anything to a printer.
