Choosing and changing your template

There are fifteen templates and every one of them is available on the free tier. They differ in mood, typography, colour and ornament — not in features.

Look at the real thing first

Each template has a live demo at nupta.site/templates. That is not a screenshot: it is the actual design rendered with sample content, so what you scroll through is what your guests will scroll through.

Use the mood filters to narrow it down. The previews on the gallery are captured from those same demo pages, so the card and the design cannot drift apart.

Switching later is safe

Your content and your design are stored separately. Changing template keeps everything you have typed — your story, your entourage, your schedule, your guest list, your RSVPs. Only the presentation changes.

So there is no reason to agonise. Pick the one you like now, and change your mind in a month if you want to.

What changes with the design

• Colour and typography. Each template has its own palette and font pairing.
• How photos are cropped. Gallery tiles are cropped to a fixed shape, and that shape is part of the design. Four templates crop differently depending on a photo's position in the grid, so reordering photos can change how one is framed. The editor previews the same crop your guests will see.
• Ornament and section styling. Dividers, headings and the small decorative touches are per-template.

Changing the colours yourself

The Style Editor lets you set your own colours and fonts rather than accepting the template's.

• Start from a palette. Each template's colour set is offered as a one-click palette, so you can put Tala's navy and gold on a Harana layout without choosing six colours by hand. Fine-tune any single colour afterwards by tapping its swatch.
• Watch it change. A small sample of your site at the top of the panel updates as you pick. On a laptop or larger screen, a live preview sits beside the editor and follows the section you have open.
• Change your mind. "Undo last change" steps back one choice at a time, and "Reset" returns to the template's own colours and fonts.
• Fonts are shown, not just named. Each option in the font list is drawn in its own typeface.
• Fonts are grouped by kind — serif, display capitals, script, art deco and sans serif — so it is easy to find a look that is different from a friend's site, not just a different name.

Two more things worth knowing about colour:

• Your heading colour is painted across every heading on the page. If you pick something very light against a light background, the text gets hard to read — the editor measures this and warns you in plain words.
• It warns, it does not overrule you. If you want that colour, you keep it. The warning is there because a colour that looks fine on a laptop can disappear on a phone in daylight.

Printed pieces follow your design

If you print anything from Nupta, it inherits your site's palette, fonts and ornament — including any fonts you picked yourself — rather than Nupta's own branding — so an invitation from a navy-and-gold design prints navy and gold. Dark designs invert onto light paper, because flooding a sheet with dark ink does not survive a home printer.
